Facilities
The Nursery is divided into two main rooms with permanent staff operating a key worker system in each room. Our way of working offers consistency of care and allows staff to build solid relationships with both children and parents.
Staff plan for the children’s learning through the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' framework. In keeping with this, we offer play-based learning which is planned around the individual children's interests. A balance of adult and child-led activities enable each child to develop at their own pace and to their full potential.
Children aged two to three
Two members of childcare staff work in the Acorn Room. They provide care and education for a maximum of eight children aged between two and three years.
Children aged three to five
Two to three members of childcare staff work in the Oak Room, which caters for a maximum of 16 children aged between three and five years. All applicable children are given Early Education Funding from the Government.
Family room
The children also spend time together in the Family Room as a mixed age family unit, first thing in the morning and at lunchtime and tea times.
