Here is the range of facilities available to you as a student at Kingston that will help you during your course.


There is a wide range of facilities at our Penrhyn Road campus, where this course is based. You will have access to a modern environment with the latest equipment, including the Learning Resource Centre. This offers:

  • key texts on political communication, politics, media studies and journalism;
  • access to online journals and books; and
  • a free inter-library loan service – as a postgraduate student you will have access to SCONUL, which enables you to borrow books from participating universities.

Kingston's proximity to London also gives you ready access to some of the biggest and most specialist libraries in the country, including those at London School of Economics & Political Science, School of Oriental & African Studies, University College London and the British Library (reference only).

 

The Computer Resource Centre provides:

  • a reliable network;
  • a set of core and specific software, with support for all core and some specific software;
  • a variety of labs, for generic and specialised use; and
  • academic and administrative technical support.

 

You can also use the dedicated Graduate Centre on campus. This includes:

  • IT facilities;
  • a seminar room; and
  • social space.
