Many of the staff in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences are research active. This ensures they are in touch with the latest thinking in the field.

 

Staff research interests include:

  • political communication, advocacy and campaigning in the UK, in Africa (with a special emphasis on South Africa) and in Asia (with a special emphasis on Singapore and India);
  • the use of new media technologies in the politics of resistance;
  • political marketing with a special emphasis on the marketing of political parties;
  • NGO campaign strategies; and
  • political communication of Islam
