Banking and Finance MSc: Facilities
More about our modern teaching environment
Kingston Business School is based at the Kingston Hill campus. Kingston University has made major investments in buildings and equipment at the Business School campus over recent years.
Bloomberg trading room
Students have the opportunity to use the Bloomberg trading room where different trading techniques can be applied in practice with real live data. Kingston University is one of only a small number of universities across the UK that have introduced a Bloomberg trading room. It is used by asset management companies, investment banks, hedge funds, banks and central banks to analyse, price and trade, in real time, stocks, bonds, derivatives and almost every type of financial instrument. Students can also enrol for free in Bloomberg's Product Certification Programme, which will equip them straight into the working world.

Thomson Datastream Advance
Kingston University also subscribes the Thomson Datastream Advance and students have the opportunity to use this for learning and research activities. It contains more than two million financial instruments, securities and indicators for 175 countries in 60 markets. It provides access to over 100 million-time series with up to 50 years of history and over 8,000 different fields.
Learning Resources Centre (LRC)
The high-tech LRC houses a wide range of resources and services, including texts, periodicals, journals and dissertations, audio-visual materials and more than 500 study places. Remote access to LRC databases means you can access facilities online from anywhere in the world.
We further improved the LRC in 2008 with a £5 million extension. The Nightingale Centre includes a learning cafe, more PCs and extra study areas.
Computer and online facilities
The LRC and seven laboratories house 250 computer workstations.
Using IT to support your studies is crucial. Kingston has an innovative internet-based interactive learning management system called StudySpace. This allows you to access course materials and contact fellow students and staff while away from the campus.
Study and teaching facilities
As a London university with a quiet secure place to study, a leafy green campus and easy access to the city centre, Kingston provides the best of all worlds for Business School students.
Lecture rooms and theatres are modern and well equipped. The graduate centre provides study space dedicated to postgraduate and research students.
Other campus facilities include:
