Classical Theatre MA: Course features

What this course offers you

If you choose to study this course, here are some of the things you can expect from the course and how it will benefit you.

  • This unique Classical Theatre programme has been designed to train actors, designers and directors for the stage.
  • The course has been developed by Sir Peter Hall, one of the world's most distinguished theatre directors (read more in the Who teaches this course? section).
  • Other teachers are experienced playwrights, actors, directors and critics so you can be sure your teaching is relevant to the real-world demands of the theatre.
  • The course forms part of Sir Peter's original vision for the Rose Theatre, Kingston, of which he is Emeritus Director. This means that MA students benefit from the chance to work alongside professionals in a working theatre (read more in the Facilities section).
