Classical Theatre MA: Events and lectures
How you can get more involved
The Practice/Research programme provides a series of workshops/talks from theatre/performance professionals and academics. In additional, you will be invited to workshops and talks shared with the undergraduate programme – last year these included workshops with Wendy Houstoun (who has worked with DV8 and Forced Entertainment as well as a solo performer-creator), Punch Drunk theatre company, Jack Bradley (formerly of the National Theatre) and a screening of Theatre de Complicite's Street of Crocodiles at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Theatre visits are arranged by staff to complement the taught programme, but students are encouraged to enjoy the vast range of performances that can be seen locally and in London (fast trains to Clapham Junction and the South Bank make a number of theatres easily accessible to you). Last year's MA students also created their own 'theatre outings' group, which enabled them to see and discuss a range of performances together and to take advantage of various ticket discount schemes.
You are also welcome to take part in the range of events and lectures in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
