What this course offers you

If you choose to study this course, here are some of the things you can expect from the course and how it will benefit you.

  • This course is designed for for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals. It will build on your existing research skills and introduce you to professional research in an applied health services research environments.
  • You'll interact with researchers working at the cutting edge of specific areas of applied clinical research. It is an interprofessional MSc programme, offering the opportunity to work towards professional competencies (eg NMC).
  • An academic supervisor and clinical mentor will support you and to help you to facilitate data collection and negotiation through internal Trust approval processes.
  • There are opportunities to learn from clinical staff via seminars and feedback sessions.
  • A substantial research project makes up 58% of the course, giving you the chance to focus on areas of interest to you.
