Many of the staff in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture are research active and in touch with the latest thinking in their subject specialisms.
Staff who will teach you on the course are all actively involved in both professional practice and research surrounding the subject and discipline of communication design. Individual staff areas of interest and expertise include photography and the image, illustration and collage, printmaking, typography, social design, design writing, book and publication design, information design, exhibition design, architecture, poster design and branding and visual identity.
The Design School has a number of focused research groupings that bring together staff who are undertaking research in design. In particular, the School has a focused research area in design for communication and the image.
