"Deciding to study the LLM at Kingston University has turned out to be a great decision in my life. The course content is good and challenging, the lecturers are sound and enthusiastic, the Learning Resource Centre staff are exceptionally polite, caring and very good in ensuring that you have the maximum benefit of the facility.

As a council legal adviser, secretary and officer in charge of all security matters of my organisation, I encountered several forms of disputes and conflicts on daily basis. And now with the skills and knowledge acquired in mediation and arbitration, I believe my work would be made much easier and beneficial to my employer.

But the most beneficial aspect of my time at Kingston University is the skills, exposure and knowledge acquired in legal research and methodology through the various coursework and tutoring that I underwent. "Commercial clients can be very demanding. Achieving results for such clients requires an understanding of the range of techniques available to resolve any particular dispute. As no two disputes are the same, there is no magic formula and a broad-based but in-depth knowledge is needed. To achieve this I spent some time looking at options to widen my knowledge and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. I also found that Kingston was starting an LLM course ideally suited to my needs.
