Electroacoustic Composition MMus: Research areas
Current research in this subject
Many of the staff in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences are research active. This ensures they are in touch with the latest thinking and bring best practice to your studies.
Research in music is focused on:
- intermedia research – composing, performing and reflecting upon new work within the spectrum of contemporary practice;
- history, analysis and criticism – exploring relationships between musical text and context from the 18th Century to the present; and
- applied music – developing business, innovation and skills for musicians.
We also hold regular research seminars (read more in the Events and lectures section). You can read the latest research news in the School of Performance and Screen Studies' research newsletter.
