Environmental Law and Sustainability Masters (LLM): Facilities

About our modern teaching environment

The facilities available at Kingston Law School not only make studying a pleasant experience, but also give you the hands-on experience that counts in the workplace.

Kingston Hill campus

Kingston Hill is a leafy, hillside campus situated about three miles away from Kingston town centre. It is a quiet, secure place to study with easy access to London, meaning it provides the best of all worlds for our students.

Kingston Law School

Kingston Law School is based in the recently refurbished, historical Kenry House once home to King Farouk of Egypt in the 1930s and has been delivering qualifying law courses for 50 years. It offers our law students plenty of teaching rooms and study spaces.

Learning resources centre

Nightingale Centre

The learning resources centre (named the Nightingale Centre) provides computing and study facilities, plus access to specialist business books, journals and online resources alongside specialist facilities such as a Bloomberg trading room. The long opening hours and cafe make it a comfortable and convenient place to study.

The University has subscriptions to a variety of excellent legal resources and access to many databases of legal resources, including:

  • Lexis Nexis computer-assisted legal research;
  • Westlaw legal encyclopedias; and
  • Hein online, with access to a wide range of international journals and historical statutes going back as far as 1717.

Modern and innovative IT facilities

Students have access to PCs, Macs and wireless networks across the Kingston Hill campus. Our StudySpace virtual learning environment allows you to access course materials and contact fellow students and staff while away from the campus.

Campus facilities

Other campus facilities include:

  • a dedicated Postgraduate Student Suite, including a computer and group-work study rooms;
  • free car parking, cycle parking and showers;
  • a free intersite bus service, connecting you to other campuses;
  • student restaurants and shop;
  • a student bar;
  • a cashpoint;
  • health and wellbeing services; and
  • sports and recreation societies.
