This course is a collaboration between the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences and the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing so you benefit from the research expertise of both:
Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing research
All sport and exercise science staff in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing are actively engaged in research, presenting at international conferences and publishing in high quality scientific journals. This ensures that the course content is up to date and delivered by experts in their field. We encourage our best students to attend conferences and publish their research.
Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences research
Many of our staff in the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences are research active, often in partnership with NHS Trusts. This ensures they are in touch with the latest thinking and bring best practice to your studies.
Healthcare research groups and programmes include:
- Children and Families Research Group;
- HEART Research Centre – bringing together healthcare academics and professionals to research the role of exercise in health;
- SUPPORT Research Group – supporting people with long term conditions in later life; and
- Workforce Innovation, Development and Education Research Group – issues relating to the planning, resource management, education and development of the health and social care workforce.
Student research
You may be able to publish any research you undertake on the Kingston University Research and Innovation Reports (KURIR) website. This site gives anyone associated with Kingston University the opportunity to publish articles, which will be permanently available to the academic community.
