Choose Kingston's Fine Art with Learning and Teaching MA
This innovative course offers fine art graduates the opportunity to study the subject at MA level alongside a PgCert in higher education.
A PgCert is increasingly a requirement for new teachers in further and higher education. The University has a well-established and very successful PgCert in higher education in-house.
What will you study?
Through a combination of studio project and theoretical study you will have the opportunity to:
- develop and apply critical frameworks;
- debate a range of theoretical, cultural and social issues; and
- consider a variety of approaches to communicating and publishing your own research.
You will focus on individual and collaborative practices, new technology, exhibition production and design, and a theoretical and critical programme to challenge and contextualise individual research.
Many of the staff in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture are research active. This ensures they are in touch with the latest thinking and bring best practice to your studies.
