School of Computing and Information Systems

The School of Computing and Information Systems offers high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses, designed to reflect the developing needs of business and industry. We deliver our teaching in an exciting and challenging learning environment, and make use of modern, well-equipped facilities.

Our courses cover the range of modern technologies in computer science, information systems and software engineering, with specialisations in games technology; network and wireless technologies; information security; electronic business; and embedded systems.

Dr Konstantinos Danas

Konstantinos Danas, BSc, MSc, PhD is a senior lecturer in health informatics at Kingston University. He is also appointed as a visiting fellow at the Centre for Health Informatics, City University London and honorary lecturer at St George's Medical School, University of London. After graduating from City University London, he worked as a consultant focusing on the implementation of integrated information systems in SMEs and he has taught information systems management and strategy, focusing his research interests in health informatics, logistics information systems and healthcare logistics publishing his work in international journals. Since joining Kingston University his teaching is again focused on information systems strategy and e-business and healthcare information strategy. Recent research activities are in the area of health informatics.

Dr Islam Choudhoury

Dr Nada Philip

Dr Nada Philip is a senior lecturer in the field of mobile health (mhealth). She is the founder of the research group Digital Media for Health. She was the co-director of the Medical Information and Network Technologies (MINT) research centre for the period of 2013–15. Her research interests are mainly in the areas of data and multimedia communication, networking and information technology in healthcare and medical applications.
