There is an emphasis on the practical skills essential for the modern international business manager specialising in supply chain and logistics management. The dissertation provides the opportunity for an enhanced focus on these specific aspects of international business.

- the concepts, principles, and techniques associated with logistics management (from both an operation management and a marketing perspective);
- how to apply theoretical knowledge to practice; and
- strategic thinking.

This module will enable you to critically evaluate the IS, IT and information management technology tools and techniques available for business improvement. You will:
- identify appropriate techniques for data analysis, presentation and modelling;
- evaluate tools for knowledge management; and
- assess the likely impact of emerging technologies.

This module provides you with a framework which will enable you to critically reflect upon your performance and plan your professional development.
It provides an understanding of human behaviour within organisations and looks at how management performance can be enhanced through effective human resource management.You will:
- demonstrate your ability to integrate international aspects of managing people and organisations; and
- develop an understanding of human resource practices and procedures.

This module covers how to develop and apply effective logistics strategies when operating internationally, taking into account:
- shipping regulations;
- transportation concerns; and
- cultural differences.
You also look at contemporary global logistics, from raw materials, through production to the end customer.

This module focuses on supply chain management issues on a national, international and global level. It covers:
- supply chain management fundamentals, including issues relating to power, transparency and buyer:supplier relationships;
- how effective supply chain management contributes to competitive advantage; and
- different approaches to managing supply chains.

- Strategic Operations Management

This module focuses on operations management issues on a global/international level. It covers:
- how operations management contributes to overall corporate strategy;
- issues relating to the strategic role of the operations function;
- how operations management contributes to global/international organisational strategies; and
- how to critically appraise the operations strategies adopted by international operations.

- Research Methods and Dissertation

Research Methods and Dissertation
Initially this module will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully complete a research project.
You will then investigate a specific business problem via a substantial piece of independent work, which demonstrates your proficiency in:
- the design of a research project;
- the application of appropriate methods;
- the collection and analysis of data; and
- the presentation of results.
