Landscape Architecture MLA: Events and lectures

Extra activities for this course

The range of events and lectures in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture enhances your studies and adds an extra perspective to your learning.

Events include school assembly, summer show, evening lecture programme, Landscape Lounge and workshops.

Study visits may include special events. Those run in the past include:

  • 2013: New York and the Kingston University workshop 'Water / City / Territory' in March 2013 at the Van Alen Institute, New York, a design and research collaboration sharing ideas for resilience in the wake of Hurricane Sandy in New York harbour.
  • 2014: Staff and post-graduate students visited Le Havre, France, for a week long study visit at the country's largest container port and designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The group collected research data and identified individual project sites and briefs. Our colleagues from Le Havre visited us in Kingston, to review work in progress and priorities for project development.
