Management and Business Studies Research MSc: Attendance and timetables
When does teaching take place?
This course is offered as a one year full-time or two years part-time programme:
- Whether you are registered full or part time, attendance takes place over ten monthly weekend sessions (Saturday and Sunday, normally between 9.00am and 4.00pm each day) between October and July in Year 1 only.
- Part-time students spend Year 2 completing the assessments and dissertation.
Programme content
The programme starts with an intensive Induction Programme which provides you with:
- an understanding of the academic environment and the expectations and ethos of the course;
- the opportunity to meet other research associates and staff; and
- introduction to Kingston Business School and its research portfolio.
Following Induction, the programme is delivered through a set of compulsory modules:
- Research Design and Data Collection
- Foundations of Data Analysis and Reporting
- Organisation Theory and Management
- Advanced Research Methods
In addition to these modules you will be required to submit a:
- Research Project Proposal
- Dissertation in your chosen field of research
There are no formal sessions during the second part of the programme, instead you will work under the supervision of your academic supervisor, who is appointed on the basis of his/her expertise in your chosen area of research. Read module descriptions.
