Management Studies PgDip/MA top-up: Entry requirements

Applications to the Kingston DMS are welcomed from those who are at least 21 years old and fit one of the following broad profiles:

• You have a degree plus a minimum of two years business-related work experience, or are currently engaged on a fast-track management programme.
• You have a degree plus substantial business-related work experience at a non-management level.
• You do not have a formal qualification but have substantial business-related work experience at a supervisory/management level.

If you are in any doubt as to your candidacy for the programme, or are unsure of the suitability of the course for you, you are invited to contact the course administrator for an informal conversation and guidance.

Interviews are not normally necessary but can be given in the case of those who may not meet the above requirements but have other qualities which point to their ability to successfully complete the programme.

Entry to the Management Studies MA top-up is conditional on successful completion of a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (a level 7 qualification worth 120 credits), preferably to Commendation level and within the last five years. Candidates may also be invited to interview to further assess their suitability for masters level study.

All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirements. For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with special conditions in all elements. Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.

Applicants from one of the recognised Majority English Speaking Countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.
