Teaching and study methods

The full-time MBA programme is taught in weekday classes though there is some weekend teaching of some elective modules. The executive MBA is taught at weekends.

The cohort sizes are small, about 20 in each intake, but we run the core modules throughout the year, so that if you join in February, for example, you will be studying some core modules with students who joined in September and others with students who join the following September. Full-time and executive programme students may share classes in elective modules.

Full-time students will also undertake a week-long annual field trip in Europe. While executive programme participants will undertake a full weekend of leadership and professional development within the London area.

All participants can join our MBA programme in Moscow for some or all of their elective modules.

Assessment

We use a variety of techniques to assess you to ensure that you are learning and progressing well through the course. You will be assessed on written assignments, presentations and exams. Preparation for assessments will involve either group work or working on your own.

Your final piece of work will be the MBA Consulting Report which is a substantial piece of work, bringing together all that you have learned throughout your course. It can be completed on your own or in a group and is supervised. Students on the executive programme usually take on a project within the business or company they are working at, while students on the full-time programme usually link their report to a future career goal. You can also develop a business plan.
