Occupational Psychology MSc: After you graduate
What our graduates say
Check out what our graduates have gone on to do and how studying at Kingston helped them achieve their goals.

Name: Sophie Kolatchew
Course: Occupational Psychology MSc
Current position: Human resource systems assistant, Regent's College, London
Sophie graduated in June 2011.
"I chose to study at Kingston University for a number of reasons. Location was important to me, and upon visiting Kingston I found it had more of a community feel than other city-based universities. The Business School campus being located up on the hill makes you feel miles away from anywhere, and the leafy environment is very appealing. The clincher for me choosing Kingston University however, was not the location, but the staff. From the outset of application, I felt there was a more personal interest from the course director, she emailed me directly, and made me feel as if she really cared about me, and the course she was running. It was this personal factor which set Kingston apart from other universities. And I was right: throughout my year at Kingston, it was evident how much the teaching staff cared about the course, constantly asking us for our opinions and asking how we were going. The course content also had more of a practical approach to it than other programmes, as informed by friends completing their MSc in Occupational Psychology at other universities.
I had a fantastic year at Kingston. With a large proportion of international students (myself included), I now have friends from all over the world who I remain in constant contact with. Having a smaller class size allowed great relationships to be created among peers, as well as with teachers. As a result, I had the best year in my educational career, from both a social and a learning perspective.
Since graduating from Kingston, I am back at another Higher Education institution, but this time as an employee. I am an HR Systems Assistant at Regent's College, London, which I am thoroughly enjoying. There are many opportunities in my work in which I find myself reflecting on what I have learned at Kingston, and being able to put this information into practice."
