Planning and Sustainability MA: What our students say
Student profiles
Don't just take our word for it – here's what some of our current and recent students say about what it's like to study at Kingston.
Name: Maria Demetri
Course: MA Planning and Sustainability
"What's so great about this course is the diverse knowledge of all of the lecturers and the way they bring it all together to make planning and sustainability such an interesting subject. They definitely open your eyes. This course is all about thinking 'outside the box' and offers a truly unique way of learning - it makes learning fun by making it such a practical experience. I really enjoyed our site visit to the Top Gear track, for example, which is a potential site for an eco town - and yes, we saw The Stig! I believe that these practical experiences have given me the skills and a wider knowledge to take into the work place and become an active member of a planning team in shaping the future urban environment in a sustainable way."
Name: Max Hampton
Course: Planning and Sustainability MA
"I can definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to undertake a masters in planning. It is accredited by both the RTPI and RICS, and provides a thorough grounding in planning policy. The focus on sustainability and the opportunity to carry out a masterplan or area action plan as an alternative to a dissertation makes this course stand out."
