Professional Engineering MSc: What our students say
Student profiles
Don't just take our word for it – here's what some of our current and recent students say about what it's like to study at Kingston.

Name: Ken Wills
Course: Professional Engineering MSc
Position: Managing director, Summit Aviation
Ken Wills started his career as a trainee industrial engineer, but soon moved on to found his first company, Heli-Charter Ltd. Twenty years later, he is now the director of several successful businesses, including Summit Aviation, which specialises in the maintenance, overhaul, repair and testing of Pratt & Whitney JT8D and JT3D engines.
Ken is keen to keep learning and sees the Professional Engineering MSc as a challenge. His individually-tailored leaning contract requires him to develop new engineering opportunities enabling technical and commercial growth for Summit Aviation. The primary focus is on the optimisation of a new jet engine maintenance and service facility in Kent. Ken will be investigating how to improve the energy efficiency of the new building and the impact of wind turbines on radar interference.
