Library and computing facilities

What does the University library offer? Library and computing facilities are available for all members of the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences at St George's, University of London, and at Kingston University.

St George's library is a large multidisciplinary health sciences library with a wide range of books, journals and electronic resources and a spacious and pleasant study area.

Do students have access to computing systems? Computing services are based at St George's and provide a wide range of computing and information resources to all students, most of which are delivered via the St George's, University of London intranet.

The library offers a variety of information skills and IT skills training options for all students. An information skills training programme has been developed for each student and is embedded within the curriculum. The sessions are designed to train students how to search for information effectively, using databases and the internet, and how to assess the quality of this information. These are supplemented by drop-in sessions throughout the year. In addition students can book individual tutorials.
