Annual Fund scholarships
Through gifts made by Kingston alumni to the Annual Fund, the Development Office is offering a number of postgraduate scholarships for UK and EU students (classified as 'Home' for fees purposes). The aim is to:
- encourage academic excellence; and
- allow talented young graduates to continue to higher levels of learning and research.
They are available for all courses (except teacher training/PCGE courses) and will pay 50% of the fees (up to £3,000) for a one-year, full-time or two-year, part-time masters programme. Applicants must:
- be classed as 'Home' for fees purposes; and
- have already received an offer of a place to study at Kingston.
The selection criteria is:
- academic ability:
- A: first class honours in first degree or clear equivalent
- B: very good upper II or clear equivalent
- C: good upper II or equivalent
- academic potential:
- A: very strongly supported by referee
- B: strongly supported by referee
- C: moderate support by referee
Please note that financial need will not be taken into account.
How to apply
The closing date for scholarship applications is Friday 27 August 2010 for entry into the 2010/11 academic year. Please note that we cannot consider applications received after this deadline.
