Library services

The University library offers a wide range of services alongside academic text loans.

IT resources at the LRCs at Kingston UniversityStudents can also access:

  • printed and electronic journals;
  • a newspaper archive;
  • CD-ROMs, DVDs and videos;
  • CDs and sheet music; and
  • slides.

Our inter-library loans service ensures you can always find the information you need. For example, the SCONUL Access scheme allows you to borrow books from other universities' libraries.

The library provides video and DVD players, plus satellite TV and music stations. You can work in our silent or group study areas.

Subject archives

Our most prestigious archives include:

  • Kingston University's Learning Resources Centres offer books, journals and CD-Romsthe Iris Murdoch Collections – correspondence between the author and her friends, her Oxford and London libraries, and Peter Conradi’s research papers;
  • the Vane Ivanovic Library – relating to the history and politics of the Baltics; and
  • the Sheridan Morley Collection – the renowned theatre critic's books and papers.
