Overview
Dr Hebbes is an IT security specialist who combines his on-going research with both lecturing and still working in the industry. He is able to comment on a host of areas surrounding IT security issues, including on-line banking, social networking, phishing and pharming scams, credit-card security, computer hackers, mobile phone tracking devices and social media, to name but a few.
He can talk at length on how companies through to private individuals can introduce IT security practices and technologies which will safeguard their data, and he periodically blogs on the subject at http://blog.rlr-uk.com Most recently he was asked to comment in the media when it was revealed that Google e-mail accounts had been compromised by Chinese hackers.
Dr Hebbes is also a reviewer for the International Journal of Computers and Applications (IASTED).
