Hilary has been a lecturer at Kingston University since 1991 and Head of the School of Social Work since 1997. She is a qualified and registered social worker with experience over a period of 16 years as a practitioner and manager, and has worked with children and families, people with mental health problems and older people.
Her research and teaching interests are in interprofessional practice, learning and teaching (with reference to child care and older people), child care policy, decision making, and power and authority in professional practice.
