Overview
A highly experienced photo and video journalist, and a sophisticated user of Facebook, Twitter and other social media for journalistic ends, Adam Westbrook is at the cutting edge of the multimedia revolution in journalism. Having cut his teeth on an internship with CNN International, he now boasts having the 31st best blog in the UK (Cision Top 50 blogs 2010) and is the founder of the UK Future of News Group, a community of journalists, academics, and entrepreneurs interested in the future of journalism in the digital age. Since quitting his job in radio news in 2009, he has quickly established himself as one of the prominent voices in the debate about the future of news and is also a contributor to the VJ Movement - the international video journalism network.
A journalist-in-residence at Kingston, Adam joined the university on a permanent basis in October 2010, to teach a module on video and photojournalism. He continues to work as a freelance video journalist and occasional news reader and is currently in the throes of setting up his own multimedia production company studio.fu.
