Overview
Richard Ennals works in the multi-disciplinary environment of Kingston Business School, and has visiting professorial posts in Norway, Sweden and Lithuania. His research into the area of corporate responsibility is especially pertinent now, in the current economic climate. "All too often, in times of recession, corporate responsibility is one of the first things to be put to one side, which is completely the wrong attitude," he says. "Business models should include corporate responsibility, to both their employees and the wider community, as a fundamental part of the work ethos - not a glossy add-on which can be put to one side in times of economic difficulty." Professor Ennals is also a prolific writer, and currently serves on the board of two international journals - the International Journal of Action Research, and AI & Society, the journal of Knowledge, Culture and Communication. He is a director of the UK Work Organisation Network, and of the UK National Commission for UNESCO. Amongst many other projects he is currently preparing Kingston University to host the 17th International Convention of Students' Quality Control Circles, which will take place for the first time in the UK in 2014. He is chair of the Centre for Global Morality www.globalmorality.org
