Research strategy
Kingston University sees research as a key part of its mission. Its research strategy was agreed in 2006 and its implementation is currently underway.
The strategy embraces the University’s objectives both in relation to the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise and to its pervasive research culture. It also lays out the University’s desire to build on areas of research excellence.
Specific objectives relating to external research income, and to the expansion of the numbers of its research students, are also outlined, as are its ambitions to link research both with its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and with its enterprise activities. The role of the University’s Research Committee is also described.
