KU Maths + English is a targeted GCSE revision programme for pupils identified as C/D borderline, helping them to secure that vital grade C and above that opens up a range of progression pathways.
The programme involves a full day of GCSE English Language revision and a full day of GCSE Maths revision during half-term, tailored to meet the specific needs of students at risk of missing out on a grade C in the Foundation-level papers. Our revision sessions are designed and delivered by qualified English and Maths teachers experienced in delivering intervention strategies with this cohort of students.
The programme has been put together to focus on key topics, misconceptions and challenging subject areas, delivered using engaging and innovative activities that put a new spin on tough topics. Experienced student ambassadors are placed with the visiting pupils to ensure full understanding and participation.
Students that successfully complete each session will receive a £10 Amazon gift voucher to reward their efforts. We ask that schools share predicted and final GCSE grades of students who participate, to allow us to monitor the effectiveness of the sessions.
Bookings for KU Maths + English 2016 will open in the spring term.
