Launch Pad
Launch Pad is our brand-new programme working with primary school children.
The project is design to help Year 6 pupils start to think about their dreams and aspirations for the future, and give them some clear goals as they progress from primary to secondary school, while introducing the idea of university.
The programme is run over two sessions:
- Session 1: Student Ambassadors come into your school for a 45-minute session to introduce the concept of higher education.
- Session 2: Pupils come to visit the University for a full day (9.30am–2.30pm) and work alongside our Student Ambassadors. They will take part in a range of interactive activities including a campus tour, production of a newsletter and a mini graduation ceremony with caps and gowns.
Please note you will need to make your own way to the University and bring along your own packed lunch. Arrival refreshments will be provided by the University.
