Student writing on board This workshop helps students acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence required to write a strong and relevant personal statement for their chosen subject(s).

We offer two workshops to support students at different stages of the application process:

  • Workshop 1: First Steps suitable for students who are just starting their statement, this practical session focuses on identifying strengths and achievements, using an appropriate structure and first putting pen to paper to tackle that difficult opening line/paragraph.
  • Workshop 2: Redrafting for those students who have already created a draft statement (at any stage), this session focuses on improving writing style, engaging the reader, prioritising information and crafting a strong and memorable ending.
