Student on flight simulatorOur Year 8/9 Progression Conference is an aspiration raising and information event where students from several schools come together at Kingston University, exploring their options at this crucial decision-making stage in their educational journey.

Students will take part in a range of workshops that provide them with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed choices and understand progression routes into different careers. The conference also gives students the chance to experience a university setting and emphasises the importance of taking ownership of their own learning and future.

Activities

  • A workshop discussing the link between GCSE/BTEC options and possible future careers. We will also discuss the 'dos and don'ts' when it comes to making their GCSE choices.
  • The opportunity to hear more about university and progression choices from our friendly and experienced student ambassadors.
  • A tour of our picturesque hillside campus.
  • Information on the cost of university and what support is available..
