Booking terms and conditions

  • Kingston University will ensure all Education Liaison staff and student ambassadors are Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked.
  • Education Liaison staff will provide all relevant event information at least two working days prior to the event.
  • The visiting school/college will advise Kingston University of any health-related or other specific requirements which may affect a pupil's participation in the planned activities, including dietary, mobility or religious requirements within five working days of the event.
  • Kingston University will make every possible attempt to provide for all reasonable dietary, mobility or religious requirement requests if notified within the agreed time period.
  • The named school/college will provide a list of all pupils attending the event at least five working days before.
  • The visiting school/college will provide a main named contact for the visit (including a mobile contact number for on the day) to which all correspondence from Kingston University will be directed to. In the event of the named contact changing the school/college must inform Education Liaison staff and provide an alternative contact.
  • The named contact from the participating school/college is responsible for all students throughout the event including discipline and a register in case of an emergency.
  • Where required, the named school/college shall provide an adequate number of staff on the day to ensure a reasonable level of supervision is maintained.
  • The safety and well being of pupils on the journey to and from the University is the responsibility of the named school/ college.
  • Where pupils from the named school/ college fail to attend, the University shall not be held responsible and accepts no liability for their safety and welfare.
  • Photographs taken by Kingston University during the event may be used in future publicity materials. The school/college needs to inform the University of any pupil who does not have parental consent to be photographed.
  • The University accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, property.
  • Cancellation within five working days of the event or failure to bring the agreed number of pupils may result in costs being incurred by the named school/college.
  • Late cancellations can prevent other schools and colleges participating and have significant cost implications. As a result, and in fairness to all participants, any cancellations within five working days of the event or failure to bring the agreed number of pupils will result in costs being incurred by the named school/college.

Who are the student ambassadors?

Our student ambassadors are:

  • current undergraduate and postgraduate students;
  • chosen from across all faculties, courses and ethnic groups; and
  • provided with full training in working with young people and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Maths workshop
