Knowledge transfer schemes

Below are the current programmes that we can support you with. Read examples of our success stories and contact us to find out more.

Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)

KTP is one of Europe's largest graduate recruitment schemes open to UK businesses, charities and public bodies. A graduate is recruited to work on a specific strategic project for up to three years and is supported by an expert Kingston University academic(s) and a local manager within the organisation. Government grants are available for 60% of costs for SMEs and up to 50% for larger organisations. The average turnover of Kingston University partner companies has grown by over 40% as a result of two-year KTPs.

Short KTPs (sKTPs)

The Technology Strategy Board  has reopened applications for short Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. These shorter partnerships run from 26 to 51 weeks in comparison with 'classic' KTPs which last one to three years. sKTPs will focus on supporting small and medium size enterprises and third sector organisations. Projects need to demonstrate the potential for a high level of innovation, economic and/or societal impact.
