Kingston's Enterprise Support department visited the two shortlisted contenders in the Best Business for Training and Development category and selected YMCA London South West as the winner.

Denise Cooper, Head of Workforce Development said; "The University is very pleased to continue to support the Training and Development Award at the Kingston Business Awards. It provides us with an excellent opportunity to meet local employers and to see first-hand the investment that organisations are making in the training and development of their staff."

"The winning organisation demonstrated an impressive commitment to training and development designed to benefit both the organisation and the individual. The use of appraisal, personal development and a range of learning opportunities are designed to ensure the delivery of the YMCA's core business by staff who are committed to the core values and ethos of the organisation."
