KUBIS

Work-based learning

Based at Kingston University, the KUBIS foundation degree in Business Process Development is designed for companies who wish to develop their workforce. It is ideal for employees who have a wealth of valuable work experience but who may not have many formal qualifications.

This foundation degree addresses the specific business objectives of the company and the professional development needs of the employee.  The learner will develop a broad understanding of business processes, business knowledge, concepts and techniques and critical awareness of current issues.

The Business Process Development foundation degree is open to large organisations who have a minimum of ten people who wish to undertake the course.

About the course

The course is a practical, online, interactive, work-based learning course and employees do not have to attend university to do it. Work-related individualised student projects are supported by Kingston University's e-learning environment.

Learning at workUp to seventy per cent of the course can be completed by independent work-based projects. Employees decide what they need to learn and so plan their activities, assessments and outcomes with their tutors and employers.

The learning opportunities Kubis creates are flexible and built around the needs of adult learners. Work-based, distance and online learning tailored education enables employees to be part of a work-based learning community.

Assessment

There are no exams. Assessment is by coursework.
