Course description

This 10-week full-time course introduces students to a thorough grounding in art and design culture, practice and research within a London university environment.

You will be taught how to generate ideas through varied research techniques, cultural trips and a continuous programme of drawing and documentation gathering. You will have an extensive weekly series of practical workshops, exploring how to make, print, build, book bind, film, cast, construct and photograph.

Throughout the course you will enjoy a vast range of professional lecturers and practitioners workshops. They will give lectures on their own careers within art and design, run studio visits to artists' studios and design companies and gain exclusive access to archive collections in museums and galleries in London.

The course will build an understanding of British art and design education, how to work in teams, share ideas and understand and benefit from the feedback given by tutors and technical staff at Kingston University.
