This short course is aimed at science teachers currently working in the early years. It is ideal if you are looking for a theoretical underpinning of science teaching and assessment. In a workshop environment, you will also be introduced to a tool that can be used to observe and assess science in the early years and have the opportunity to trial the tool in the setting and gain valuable peer feedback.
This course consists of three workshops which will run for two hours each, over a period of three weeks. Between sessions two and three a two week break is planned to ensure students have sufficient time to trial and evaluate the assessment tool.
You will be able to take away the tool to use in your own settings.
To attend this course you need to be working in an early years setting with children aged three to five years (eg nursery, pre-school, reception class, children's centre).
Discounts are available for Kingston University School of Education's partner schools and Kingston University students and alumni.
