Course information

Why choose this course?

What better experience could there be for those on career track to study sports management, than to "dip a toe" into the workings of one of our most historic clubs.

Our two-week intensive short course on The Business of Football, in partnership with Fulham Football Club is designed to give you an insight into the inner workings of a professional football team and to prepare students who are considering further study or a career in the global multi-billion pound world of sports business.

Course description

This unique summer school is built around both academic and practical learning sessions and is supported by a programme of activities including a visit to high profile sporting venues such as Wimbledon Lawn Tennis or the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (host of the 2012 Olympics) and other football stadiums such as Chelsea.

You will also experience a historic football stadium tour at Fulham's home ground of Craven Cottage and will attend a competitive match (subject to schedule).

Each student will also be given a Fulham branded kit to take home after the course.

There will be several opportunities to practise your skills and to train at Fulham Football Club - you are expected to take part in these practical sessions but you do not have to be highly proficient at football to take part - so remember to bring your fitness kit.

This programme is also offered as a residential summer school for international students.  Read more.
