To help develop watercolour painting skills through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration.
The course is led by an experienced professional local artist who will teach you the basic methods of watercolour painting. This will include wet-in-wet, dry brush, wet-on-dry paint techniques, composition and colour-mixing through demonstrations and participation. You will use your sketchbook, photographs, found images, and direct observation to create your own masterpiece.
The course is for all abilities, although some experience of painting would be helpful, but not essential.
You will require a sketchbook, eraser, pencils, watercolour paper, watercolour paints – either tubes or pans, mixing pallet, water pot, watercolour brushes and a sponge.
