Example programme* - Entrepreneurship

The schedule will be similar to above, but the business classes will be based on Kingston University's popular Bright Futures programme. This is an interactive skills workshop to help build your confidence in networking, innovation and pitching ideas. It is open to all students - not just those studying business subjects.

Take this course if you are interested in setting up your own business or organisation, thinking about freelancing, or working for yourself. It is also a good way to improve your general employability and business skills and would be great addition to your CV/resume. Sessions will cover:

  • Who's an entrepreneur? Role models, resources, networking and the pitch.
  • Innovate! Techniques for developing and pitching your ideas.
  • Business Models : organising your business activities to create value.
  • MarketPlace: negotiating your way to customers.
  • Meet successful entrepreneurs. Ask questions and get expert feedback.

"Bright Futures was a big confidence builder!" Jenny, English student.

*These are example programmes provided as a guide only. The schedules for 2018 will be finalised nearer the start date and may be subject to last minute changes.

Kingston University reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient student enrolments.

If you have a high standard of English and are interested in a longer programme, or wish to gain credits, you may be interested in our four-week summer school.

What our students say

"The lectures at Kingston were a life changing experience giving us a different perspective from back home." Radhika, Chennai, India

"The best class I've ever attended. I'm a marketing student and I didn't think that this particular lecture would be better than all the ones back from home but I just LOVED the lecturer's method of teaching and the content." Poorna, Cheenai , India
