Sports clubs

If you are interested in competing for the University or committing to regular club training and activities, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved:

Students' Union sports clubs and teams

The majority of the University clubs and teams are run by Kingston University's Students' Union (KUSU). The competitive sports clubs compete in inter-University fixtures on Wednesday afternoons through the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).

Please note that all members of KUSU sports clubs must now purchase a £30 KUSU sports card.

Download the Guide to Sport (PDF) for contact details for the various clubs and teams.

Kingston University Boat Club

The Kingston University Boat Club is run by a student committee elected annually by the membership and administered by the Sport and Recreation Service. The club competes in a range of competitions, including those organsied by BUCS.

Boat Club members also benefit from membership of Kingston Rowing Club,thanks to its partnership with the Sport and Recreation Service. This provides opportunities to compete in further races and ensures all members of the club receive:

  • expert coaching and support;
  • use of high-quality rowing equipment; and
  • access to one of the longest and calmest stretches of rowing water in the UK.
