Dr Anine Riege

Post-doctoral researcher

About

I am interested in several topics within judgment and decision making psychology: Responsibility, comparative judgments, probability judgments, emotions (schadenfreude), framing, and desirability bias. One of my current projects investigates whether group judgments are more or less biased than individual judgments, focusing on Base-rate fallacy type II (overweighting base-rates, ignoring case-information). In another current project we are investigating how people perceive decision makers' responsibility for the outcome when faced with a certain vs. risky choice. I am also interested in Additivity neglect (probability estimates for a set of outcomes that exceed 1 or 100%), and how this bias is affected by contextual differences, such as answering format.
