Dr Patrick O'Neill

Lecturer in Film Studies

About

I have been working at Kingston University since 2005 teaching film and media studies, and have taught on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate  modules, including Introduction to the History and Theory of Film (module leader),  Approaches to Cinema (tutor), Hollywood Directors (module leader). I am currently leading  the level 4 media studies module, Media @ Work. I also work as an Academic Advisor at CASE, and was previously employed as a visiting lecturer in film studies at Roehampton University.

Research

I am currently engaged in research which focuses on the portrayal of youth in cinema (Sept 2017). I am my disseminating my PhD (book proposal, journal articles) which focused on 1980s teen films.
