Mr John Forgan

Director Work-based Learning

About

I studied Economics at Kingston Polytechnic (now university); after graduating in 1977 I trained as a Chartered Accountant.  I worked for several national and international accountancy firms rising to the level of Group Audit Manager, audit and consulting work taking me to many different countries.  In 1989 I founded a local accountancy practice which subsequently merged with Ward Williams Chartered Accountants - with whom I am currently Director of Business Strategy.

I joined Kingston University in 1989 where my wide general practice experience enabled me to teach in most accounting subject areas although specialising in Corporate Reporting, Audit and Tax.  In 2001 I was appointed Course Director on the Executive MBA delivering the Kingston MBA in Russia and the Netherlands as well as Kingston. In 2008 I founded the Center for Corporate Partnerships and subsequently was appointed Director for Work-based Learning where I work with client organisations such as as Merlin Entertainments, the European Commission, UNHCR and Park Plaza Hotels.
