Mr Nabajeet Barman

About

I completed my Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Surat, India with a focus on wireless networks. My bachelor thesis focused on JPEG image compression and transmission over wireless networks. I then completed MSc in Information Technology with specialization in Communication Engineering and Media Technology from University of Stuttgart, Germany. As part of the masters studies, I worked in Bell Labs, Stuttgart (Germany) on the improvement of QoE for video streaming over wireless networks based on context-aware resource allocation. My masters thesis focused on wireless link quality prediction with a special focus on vehicular users. I am currently working as a research associate at the Wireless Multimedia and Networking Research Group (WMN) in the School of Computer Science and Mathematics at Kingston University where I am working on QoE-aware video coding strategies with special focus on HTTP streaming.
