Costs for Study Abroad partner students

How much will it cost?

If your university has a study abroad agreement with Kingston, it will collect tuition fees and administrative charges from you on our behalf and they will submit your application to us. Details of actual costs can be obtained from your international studies office.

Please check with the international studies office at your college or university to see how they would like you to apply:

  • directly to us
  • through their office
  • through a study abroad provider such as CCIS

What do tuition fees cover?

The tuition fees cover:

  • 12–16 credits of study per semester
  • the orientation programme
  • the meet-and-greet service on arrival

We will send you full details about the orientation and welcome events in your acceptance pack once we have made you an offer to study at Kingston University.

The tuition fees do not cover:

Is there a refund policy?

If you withdraw before arriving at Kingston University, you will receive a 100% refund of tuition, less a £100 administration charge

If you withdraw after arriving at Kingston University:

  • you have the option to switch to the next semester at no additional cost or a 90% refund of tuition already paid, less a £200 administration charge if you withdraw prior to first day of classes
  • you receive a 75% refund if you withdraw after the first day of classes but before the end of second teaching week (the 'drop and add' period)
  • you receive no refund if you withdraw after the beginning of the third week of classes

The end of the teaching week is Friday, so the start of the subsequent week is deemed to be Saturday.  Lab fees are included in overall tuition rate and will refunded as part of the overall refund.

A proportion of BC1066 British Life and Culture fees may be refunded.

What about financial aid from my home university?

Kingston University is not able to administer any financial aid/scholarships that Study Abroad students would normally receive through their home college/university.

Students from the US in receipt of Financial Aid must check with the Financial Aid Office at their home institution about the procedures while studying abroad.
