Renewing an IP address:
Please note we support Windows OS only – you will have to research how to renew IP addresses for other computers.
In Windows, go to Start and then “Run” and type “cmd” to get to a command prompt; in Windows 7/Vista type "cmd" in the Search field:
Type 'ipconfig' to view the status of the computer's IP address.
If the computer is holding a current IP address ( e.g. above):
type 'ipconfig /release' to let go of the address.
Type 'ipconfig /renew' to obtain a new IP address (whether or not the computer is holding a current address).
